The market has cooled off finally... but that is what is expected during the winter months. With the stocks plummeted these past months, people are looking at prices a little more carefully. Home prices are expected to drop (or at best, stay level) through Feb.
Some buyers will always try to look for a good deal, so those will not be your target buyers. You want the ones who appreciate a home with good value. So prepare you home well – make sure it makes sense. Remodel it, make repairs, dress it up, clean up the front and back yard, stage it and accentuate your Wow factor. As much as buyers want a “good deal”, they will value a great home – appeal to their emotions, including the convenience of a move-in ready home.
If you can do that, then you would have created the value for the home and get the price you want.
